It is the hardest decision we have to make, but it is the kindest thing that we can do for our beloved friends. Letting Yaz and Thor go last year was the hardest thing ever, but I know it was the best thing to do. <p> You did the best thing for Bubba, and now he is playing across the Rainbow Bridge.

Yes, darling cutie, it's the hardest thing to do and the kindest thing. My heart is aching for you right now. When we lost our beautiful Patchouli a few years ago it felt like my heart had been ripped open -- it was like losing my child and my best friend all at once. I cried for months. I woke up crying, and then I'd remember why. It was real grief, exactly like the grief I've felt when I've lost a family member of a close friend. I still cry when I think about her. We are so blessed to have such a close connection to our pets, and to have such love for them, and to be able to honour them when they reach the end of their road by making the hardest decision of all -- to let them go peacefully. I'm thinking of you and Sweet Pea. Love, R xxx

Sometimes the kindest and most compassionate thing we do for our furry friends is the hardest for us. Now he is not suffering, now he is playing and happy and eating chicken with your parents. I know it takes time to get over the loss. I hope Sweetpea is doing ok. When I told my husband about your first trip to the vet when Bubba licked your hand..my husband said..."He was telling her Goodbye". I think he was too and he probably treasured the next few days just as much as you did. You did one of the hardest things we do as pet owners...giving them up...
