Picture it. October 6, 1968. Tiger Stadium, Detroit, MI. 5th game world series. A very young 23-year old Jose Feliciano blows me away with his rendition of our National Anthem. Man did he piss some people off! Wowsa! I said then and I still sa that it was probably the first time in many years that some people had actually listened to the words! I loved it. I still love it. He took a wonderful, but very stale tune and gave it life again. I was amazed at how many people used the term "Mexican Immigrant" I laughed and laughed when I would tell them that he was born in the US. Some people would actually argue that he wasn't an American because he was born in Puerto Rico!

I ab..so..lute..ly LOVE those songs. I especially loved the video for SMOOTH.... As for the job, I believe if it happens, there is a reason for it. You were supportive and that is what your husband needed from you. Hope it all works out the way it is supposed to be.
