The Votes are in and the Chicken Wins by a Feather

Well, the votes are in and I have been informed that my chicken cake was a big hit (see last entry), especially with little Ashley. Actually, it was a bit TOO big of a hit with her. Let me mention here that little Ashley is 7 years old, but has both physical and learning disabilities due to her natural mother�s drug use, and functions at the level of a 4 year old. When it came time to cut the cake, little Ashley began to cry, �No! No! You can�t kill Daisy! I love her!� They tried to convince her Daisy was just a cake and that she wanted to be eaten, but to no avail. Finally, her Grandma decided to lift the chicken off the nest part of the cake and to serve just the nest, Ashley got to eat the egg cake with her name on it. Grandma told her that she would keep Daisy in her deep freeze for one week, and that then it would be time to say goodbye to Daisy.
